Well actuallyyyy...EA mandated that their studios (Bioware included) start using the Frostbite engine, which was fantastic for ‘simple’ genres like shooters and racing but lacked almost all of the basic tools necessary for RPGs - creating inventories, forming parties of multiple characters, items, quests, etc.…
