I think that’s a bit of an oversimplification - a child playing with a tablet computer is one thing, while a whole civilization trying to reckon with the artificial intelligences it has created, or the chemical and material sciences advances it has wrought, are quite another. I won’t go so far as to say I believe…
That’s not true — saying that technology is (allegedly) responsible for all advances in human adaptability is not the same as saying that technology and human adaptability grow at the same rate, or that both have the same value at any given point in time.
