What happened to tagging photos in kinja? That was a neat feature.

The year 2000 was the final year of the 20th century, technically, because there was no year zero. I do not necessarily endorse this pedantry.

Yeah, I meant the headlights on Turbos and/or 996.2 Carreras.

It’s like a Mk5 crossed with an Alfa 147:

The turbo/C4S bumper and facelifted lights do the 996 a lot of favors.

(This is completely wrong, it’s ~250 per cylinder ... unless each cylinder only fires every 8 cycles :)

Yes of course, you are quite correct - I was originally going for the total number of combustions and got the eight stuck in my head :-)

Thanks, I actually googled some of the text and it shows up in various places online. Always interesting to read though.

Where’s this from? I remember reading it before and can’t find it now.

So about 32 combustions per cylinder ...

Maybe the 456 Venice?

Definitely agree about the quad taillights, but I’m not a fan of the smoked lenses. It looks like an aftermarket mod on a FR-S.

Only four of these were ever made. It’s also the car whose fatal accident led to the demise of the Mille Miglia.

So, BBC iPlayer then?

Great article, Raph.

Harris is in this photo of the production team that Evans tweeted earlier:

Chris Evans tweeted a photo of the production team in the pub earlier, and Harris is there:

That’s Zagato all over.

Reviews said it didn’t know whether it was a serious sportscar or a cushy GT cruiser. Low production run means they’re worth a small fortune these days though, so I don’t think any owners will be too upset.
