Mine makes about 220hp and I mostly struggle to use it - 1st, 2nd, speeding now, 3rd, okay really better back off. That’s about 8-10 seconds of fun.
Clearer version of the lead image:
I have an Alfa that was still being sold until 2005, and already you can’t get parts like oil cooler pipes, door check straps, scuttle panels. There’s a thriving ‘refurbished’ market.
That’s the E87, the first one you posted is an F20 – a new model, not a facelift.
Yes, I agree with all of that. I just like the slot-like grille in the Celica facelift more than that central nostril. And this is the ugliest version of all:
It’s almost like they deliberately went with the bad design too keep something back for the refresh.
The last Gallardos were a mess too
From bad to worse.
I was going to post both of these! Lost those cool vents on the 456 hood.
Saved me posting this. Weirdly the rarity of the phase 3 (facelifted) models means that they command higher prices. They’ve slightly more power too, 3.2L vs 3.0L in the V6.
The prototype was even cleaner, no shoulder-pods or NACA ducts:
Weird tail-lights too:
That’s the pre-facelift version, this is the facelift:
I think the facelifted one looks much better.
Can’t understand why they did that. If you have a Pininfarina design, leave it alone!
456 -> 456M was also not a good one.
Some of us have been around here a long time! ‘Bruce’ was one my favourite Jalopnik memes, shame it has died out recently.
It got wrecked by a towing company worked who took it for a joyride :(
