Why are they putting a car in a truck that is only big enough to hold the car? Why not just drive the car to where they’re going?

Because of the image.

This is VAG we’re talking about, the company that sells the same hatchbacks under four different badges and price points in Europe, and has already sold a decontented Bentley as a Volkwagen.

For a modern petrol engine, I think that’s still true.

I wonder how much weight the turbos on the 911’s flat 6 add over the C4S model. Apples to oranges comparing kerb weights, of course.
