I agree about Portal being one of the best to show. The sophistication of it's puzzles, fantastic art direction and dialogue, and amazing depth of gameplay would be an excellent place to showcase that videogames can appeal to all age groups. In many ways Portal is a wonderful piece of interactive art.

Typically you can't have an opinion and be unbiased. But as far as the game's mechanics go, I've heard and read from many reliable sources that everything is great with the graphics, controls and the stability of the engine. Everything else though... that's another story.
