The game can look rad as hell, but if the narrative is an anti-feminist version of “Well from my point of view the Jedi are evil.” I wouldn’t touch it with 100' pole.

Sorry to kill your mood, how are you going to get it up for your hand now?

Considering his game is about mean ol’ feminists and how they’re ruining the world, I bet his views, in fact, do compromise the quality of the game.

So you have beliefs even you find problematic? Maybe sit back and question some of those problematic beliefs and think about them.

You’re welcome.

Is anyone wanting the government to file charges against this guy for what he said? It doesn’t seem like it. So how does this go against free speech in any way? “Freedom of speech” does not mean “freedom from consequences for what you say.”

That’s not it. You can say what you want. That doesn’t mean it won’t have consequences. Free speech is about the Government suppressing speech. Not shielding each other from consequences of saying stupid things. It depresses me I have to type this to someone (for like, the 11th time)

Pitchforks. Some of these comments were as recent as *this year*.

Free speech is freedom from government oppression. It is NOT freedom from consequences from the public. If you want to be a bigot verbally (not particularly the case here), you won’t be thrown in jail by the government. You will be condemned by everyone though.

Fair point. We added a line to clarify. This is a political debate with the game lobby taking one side and others taking another. But to your point, those in the state governments supporting these bills are in fact on his side.

Did you explain that the government was on his side, or did you just let his dumb statement linger in the air like a fart you thought might be rude to point out? Because sometimes it’s best to say, “Hey man, you farted.”

“The government needs to leave people alone.”

If you keep repeating it’s good, maybe you’ll believe yourself.
