"It's basically implied throughout the game that the Crucible/Catalyst is what will prevent the firing from blowing up the galaxy. This is further supported if you play badly; the army fails to protect the crucible well enough, it gets damaged, and misfires as a result, scorching the Earth and sterilizing the galaxy.

Have to agree with everyone else on here. RDR was one of the best video game endings ever, and would have been a fantastic ending to a movie or novel as well. How did the author of this article consider it a slap in the face? I pretty much expected John Marston to die in the end, and I think how they eventually did it

That's too bad, because not only is 99% of ME3 awesome, but some of the best video game story telling ever. :(

Yeah, I think the author's knee-jerk reaction to hearing about Skyrim as inspiration is unearned at this point. They may simply be looking at the how to incorporate a more dynamic and living world into the game, while still keeping the tactical combat of DA:O and DA2 (yes, DA2, while quicker, more visceral, and more

Apple could always have the parts manufactured in China, then assembled elsewhere.

That's why the scores are meaningless, IMO. I'd rather go off of the article, which is why I like the Kotaku reviews. A simple Yes, go buy it, or No, don't and a list or reasons why.

Me too. It's really fun, and plays surprisingly well.

It's not, but you have to be REALLY fast, and have the tranq rifle.

The no-kill run of Fallout: New Vegas was one of the best times I had in a video game, though it helps that the game was designed in a way to make it very possible (100 speech will get you very far!).

You make some really, really good points here, however I have to disagree with your assessments of Red Dead Redemption and some of the GTA games from an earlier thread. I would argue that the writing was pretty good (especially in RDR), because I don't believe plot is the end all, be all of good story telling.

Way to take that out of context. How about you show the part, right before that, where Tong (SPOILER: i'm 99% sure this is the part where Adam is trying to get info from tong on the hacker) tells Adam that all whites look alike?

I love how easily we throw the word Racist around. Did Eidos create a regretfully offensive character? Yes, I think so. Did they purposefully and maliciously create this character as an attack to undermine, trivialize and degrade black Americans and purposefully promote incorrect stereotypes? No, I don't believe so.

No. You still level your skills like in Oblivion, the only difference being that there are no major or minor skills anymore, and character level is gained by leveling skills, not exp earned by doing things.
