I mean, “trophy wife” ain’t a bad gig at all if you can get it. Just be sure to have a good attorney help with the pre-nup negotiations, and you can be pretty well off.

They assume even “mostly charging at home” people charge 25% at commercial charges for $0.43 per KWh. That’s how they jack up the price of an EV.

A BIG part of their conclusion relies on the assumption that most EV owners still use commercial chargers for 25% of their charging.

Which, of course, they don’t. I’ve had my Mustang Mach E for 5 months. I’ve used a commercial charger 4 times (during two different road trips).

There is no such thing as an “affordable car” now. The very rock bottom cheapest cars today start at $15,000. Lower and lower middle class wages certainly haven’t risen as fast as car prices.

Tesla is about 5 years ahead of every other car manufacturer in terms of electrification. But they are 10 years ahead on self-driving. If they can crack that nut and flip a switch to make all of their cars with their fully autonomous hardware self-driving, it’s game over. Tesla will practically OWN global vehicular

Investing in internal combustion instead of battery electric.

I can imagine that. A small room with all the doors and windows shut as much as possible and the biggest consumer filter system absolutely would probably help a lot.

They are all snake oil to a certain extent. Depending on the size of the room you are working in, no consumer level purifier can move enough air through it’s filter to make a significant impact on air quality, especially if the room has a lot of people moving in and out, like a classroom or office.

I would like to put one of these on a 30 mph roadway and walk it out in front of human drivers.

Self-driving cars don’t have to be perfect, they only have to be better than humans. And human suck at driving.

With all the options for jobs in this world that are available to the kind of person with the intelligence and fortitude that could successfully run a restaurant, I don’t know why anyone would want to do this.

Same here. I’ve actually just started making a point to ask the agent out loud if I need to take off my steel toes simply so that the guy behind me doesn’t say something snarky to me about my shoes.

I have pre-check and my wife doesn’t. Whenever she books with me she always gets the pre-check stamp too. It would be a shame if that ended.

Best advice you gave: Just upgrade to linux.

The Dems don’t need any more witnesses to testify. They already have all of the evidence they need and more to impeach. There is no point in stretching this out, except to create more recycled late night jokes for Colbert.

And you don’t get a “I get to be a jerk to anyone I want” pass because you chose a red-eye flight.

Or, unless of (any of an infinite number of possible life reasons why that morning was tough for her).

Or you can pick a flight where you don’t have to be a jerk to people at 4:45 in the morning. I think that’s the simpler solution.

Good. I'm glad you know what is and isn't a problem for her.

I was actually given special security checks in Dubai too. But they were actually much nicer than TSA.

My travel telescope is small enough I *could* carry it on, but big enough that I don’t want to.

The first time I flew with it I was going to Zimbabwe via Dubai. I arrived at the air port 3 hours early, and still almost missed my flight because of security. They made me to into a private room, unpacked my luggage
