He cut a scary figure in his first few appearances in episode 1-- especially the “blink and you’ll miss it” cameo in the reflection of the car that almost runs Dani over.

Really? Last time I checked (on episode 1 at least) she was just credited as “Narrator” (or possibly “Storyteller,” I don’t remember which).
Here’s a thought: when they write (spoilers, I guess?) at the top of their post, don’t read the rest of it.
I just re-watched both scenes, and I caught the soldier ghost in both. Also the first scene has another appearance by the plague doctor! (or his shadow, it’s hard to tell which)
I finished binging the show last night. I won’t give anything away, but... you’re not wrong. I have to go back and look for that appearance outside though-- I definitely saw a shadow of him in the house at one point.
I kinda wonder if you should just type “Kate and Kenan are brilliant rays of sunshine and everything they ever do is sheer brilliance!” and just copy-and-paste it for every review.
I was reluctant to call it a Plague Doctor, since I have just finished reading The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle in which a plague doctor figures prominently, and I thought I might have been projecting (the whole “Don’t think of purple elephants” syndrome). But I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw it. I’m…
My theory: Carla Gugino is definitely Jamie. And when she’s looking wistfully into the water in her tub and sink, the narration is saying the lyrics to that Waly Willow song— specifically the parts about losing a lover and having them come back. My guess is that Jamie and Dani end up in a relationship, Dani dies in…
Kirsten Dunst, Colin Hanks, Sisqo, Carmen Electra AND Vitamin C??
Me too! I got excited when my local DJ announced that it was up next, but when I heard a slow piano ballad I was immediately disappointed and I figured he must have cued up the wrong song.
I think it pleased fans in that it was a return to the show, cast, and writers/producers that everyone remembered and loved, but overall it didn’t seem to over well with discerning viewers. It almost seemed like the Palladinos wanted it both ways: on the one hand they tried pandering to the fans by peppering it with…
I’m just going to burn an actual rock I found in my backyard. Close enough.
I think someone did not that long ago. It must have been ABC because I remember the son from Modern Family being on one of the teams. They ever referenced Howard Cosell and his mustard-colored sports jacket!
If that was “Porn in the USA,” I had that one too-- but it was from 1985.
Not only do I not care, I’m usually actively annoyed, because I have to wait for the overly thrilled audience cheers to die down before they can finally get on with it (the Eddie Murphy episode was particularly galling, as between the cold open and the end of the monologue it had approximately 400 celebrity cameos).…
I will always, ALWAYS upvote a Gary Gnu reference.
That’s actually a pretty perfect description of her, too. A friend and I watched “My Date with Drew” a few years ago and when it was over my friend was practically talking about how she and Drew could be best friends.
At least when Woody Harrelson’s not hanging around.
I have nothing to add to all the political discussions, but I will say this: ScarJo and Cecily Strong in swimsuits= A+.
So, I guess Ariel Winter really isn’t shying away from showing off her boobs on the show anymore, huh? I literally couldn’t look at anything else the entire episode... except for Gloria’s boobs. And Haley’s boobs. I wonder if they were all trying to one-up each other?
