Considering most car voice controls have trouble understanding “call Dave”, I think that tech is going to be a a while coming

To pile on this: What about the sunroof? I drive an mid size SUV with a panorama sunroof. The sunshade is opaque so that on a hot day, you can still feel the heat through the shade. But at least the square shape of the vehicle allows for a shade. The curvature of the Tesla doesn’t appear to allow for a simple

Afraid people act irrationally.

Jobs are created by demand. So do poor people buy the $50,000 new SUVs being churned out by Detroit? Do poor people buy new $1,000,000 homes? Do poor people go on vacations, fly on airlines, visit theme parks, go to the symphony, eat at fancy restaurants, or use the products or create the demand for any number of

I am not rich. I would not be affected by this tax because I don’t make over 1ook, much less 500K and I don’t live in NY. However, why should people be penalized just because they are rich? Most people who are rich worked hard and took risk to get there. They already pay the majority of the income taxes. Also, rich

I sure as hell hope this change will not come to other manufacturers. Volvo made it simplified the right way.

There is a big difference between a lack of grill and a center mounted touch screen master control.

I’m fine with changes made for good reasons.

LOOKS awesome. From safety and ergonomics viewpoints, I fail to see what’s so great about looking off-axis to see speed info. When Autopilot is a proven, standard, all-weather, all-situations preferred alternative to DIY driving, not sucha big deal, bit until then the screen placement seems to be understandably

Looks like they last minute just stuck a big touchscreen on there and said fuck it... How is that revolutionary? Most people would prefer a few buttons/knobs for hvac/audio and a dedicated speedometer rather than a touchscreen for everything.

What’s awsome about having to look at the center console to see how fast you’re going, and not having quick, easy, dedicated analog dials for hvac and especially the volume? Touchscreen doesn’t always equal better. If the would fix that and give the front end a grill this car would a lot better, although from the MT

Just what we need, more people distracted by screens in a car.

she used the car’s manual to troubleshoot her problem

The point is, if you were to march out today to pick up your new $35,000 Tesla, you’d be marching back home empty-handed. Because there is no $35,000 Tesla. Not today, and probably not this year. And if and when you do eventually located one, sometime in 2018, it likely will be a completely bare-bones model.

That train from NYC to Madrid is going to have a couple snags in development.

Sure, that New York to LA “bullett” train is going to be a ranging success. Even at an average of 200 mph, and no stops, that’s going to be a 27 hour trip. And factor in stops, and crew changes, and it pushes 30. Even if everyone has to be strip searched, flying is still faster.

Am I the only one here that doesn’t get the body of the article? Only the title then the comments. It’s happened twice.

There are four rankings of classified information in the American intelligence community. Confidential, Secret, Top Secret, and code word clearance. The information that President Trump divulged was considered code word clearance-level intelligence, and thus it was above the Top Secret ranking in clarification.

Having just received a new MacBook Pro this week, I shudder to imagine the collection of dongles one would need to run an Apple car.

They have a lot of extra budget now that DeMuro is gone.
