I don’t disagree with any of your points, but I do have a question: Are you postulating that GM went with 19/20" wheels on the Vette for appearance alone, then?

I think a lot of MDT and HDT applications hang the transmission off the back of the engine (which is supported by 3 motor mounts). Usually, 2 mounts cast into the trans bellhousing or trans adapter (flywheel or flex plate sits in there) and one beefy “foot” at the front of the engine that attaches to a crossmember.
That may have happened while waiting for the tow truck :P
I guess you’re simply more jaded/pessimistic than I. The fact that he wasn’t near a crossing makes me thing that scenario #2 is not super likely. Why wouldn’t someone trying to commit suicide try getting on the tracks at a more easily-accessed point.
Those are the worst. I hit mine on Higgins near Cumberland in the dead of night - couldn’t see it until it was too late and swerving would probably have ended up worse for us.
That’s totally fine. I guess I’m more arguing that there’s NO point in running premium in a car that doesn’t even recommend it.
I’m also not a chemist.
And it also just so happened that the police officer was at the right place at JUST the right time to pull the unconscious person from almost certain death with only seconds to spare.
That cost difference isn’t too far off what I’m seeing in Chicago. $1USD/gallon is $.34 CAD/L.
But if you put in 3 bottles, you’re above 91, yes? :P
I’m sure the switch to sequential EFI made a huge difference since they integrated knock sensing.
In reality, isn’t ethanol worse for fuel systems because it’s hydrophilic (more easily bonds with Hydrogen) and causes earlier oxidation of fuel components compared to 100% gasoline?
Most E85 cars have different fuel systems because they increase the corrosion resistance of the metals in the system, not necessarily the…
Two things:
My bent wheel happened in the summer, unfortunately. Sometimes those monster potholes are unavoidable :(
My Gen 1 has EvoX wheels now.
Oohhhhhh Chicago potholes. I bent one of the factory 18s within one month of owning the MS3 when I first got it (used).
I want to like the Pixel 4, I really do. I love my Pixel 3 WHEN IT’S WORKING. But I’m now waiting on my third device in 6 months. First phone had the lense detach from the camera so it couldn’t focus. Second just shut off while navigating and playing spotify over bluetooth in the car.
If it lasts until the end of the…

Your original post that I responded to stated that they wouldn’t use “full lockers” due to the larger power output of the Silverado. You didn’t specify that they wouldn’t use the same diff as the Colorado. We’re just being pedantic here I guess.
For what it’s worth, I run 17" wheels and Blizzaks on my MS3 in winter and they’ve performed extremely well even with the smaller sidewall.
It does, I didn’t think about that difference. I’m sure it does help.
What year is your 3? I put Blizzaks on my Mazdaspeed3 and it’s suddenly a friggin’ snow rally machine, even with FWD.
