I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Danny isn’t supposed to be the interesting one on this show, he’s the vehicle to make everyone else more interesting. The “side stories aren’t side stories, they’re the story.

But the developments in the last two episodes aren’t satisfying without the work the earlier episodes put in to set them up. Without first watching Colleen working in the community centre, negotiating with gangster wives or fighting tattoo artists, seeing her get the Iron Fist isn’t nearly as meaningful.

Honestly, I hope the finale splinters the Iron Fist show into two distinct shows if its own: “Daughters of the Dragon” and “Globetrottin’ Ward and Danny a.k.a. Raiders of the Lost Chi”
