But complain ing about comic book movies is one of the nerdiest things you could do.

Personally I like Rockstar* and gin, it has a refreshing 'I fell face first into the fitzer bushes' taste

I think my mother really loved that episodic nature because it was easy to digest a chapter between running kids around.

Combining names is a very very mormon thing to do

Sith alchemy

Even When I was younger I picked up on the subtext that humanity reverting to a neo-feudalist society and becoming extremely reliant on a single scarce substance was A Bad Thing. Of course with that layer in place it makes it harder to critique the other subtexts.

I come to the AV Club to distract, cheer myself up, and learn new things but all it does is end up making me depressed.

I think it's hard to binge on book series since they don't really have a defined media size that tv or movies do. Either the author writes a small-ish book and then spends more time writing a follow up that follows formula (more or less) and you wait for it to come out, or they write a massive tome that you're meant

Dropping a bunch of weight quickly puts a bunch of stress on the body, and if it's severe enough the body thinks that you're going to be prone to famine so it works harder to store fat. Special ops forces stop doing starvation survival training because most of them would end up getting abnormally fat later on.

Heh, Equilibrium…

Those outdoor lockers still piss me off. That's all I could focus on during the stabbing scene.

So is it The Room bad-good or Starwars Holiday Special bad-bad?

If you could remember any that would be great (especially if they have a torrent).

I consider anything north of Boise to be NW, and south of Pocatello to be extended Utah.

I've got to watch that.

The original, Abre los ojos (Open Your Eyes), is much better.

Dahl was mad as hell that they changed the ending. Of course he was always a grumpy old man so that wasn't really surprising.

I watched that movie on a buzzy old tape player which just amplified the creep factor.
