You keep telling yourself that. We have seen the FoST, it’s not coming here. The RS is debatable but don’t hold your breath, you will likely die. Ford had said we won’t be getting anything but the active, sure they can change their minds, but I won’t be placing any bets until the day they show on the lots and sell the

I can tell you a Edge ST won’t be faster on my daily commute. Those roads are very tight, many of them off camber which could very easily upset a taller vehicle.

So it does autox better?

Ford has already confirmed that the FoRS and FoST won’t be coming when the MK4 Focus comes over, we are only getting the Focus Active.

When the ST Badge got shoved onto a SUV they had to have already decided cars were dead. Their order of operations was pre-planned.

Exactly, this guy is still teaching people to drive in my home town 15 years later, and I asked my friend who has a kid that just went there what he was taught. Still taught to yield to the left.

Watching too much Initial D without actually understanding whats going on.

That is dead wrong, the right has the right of way in every state. If you have ever had someone try to take your turn then get super pissed at you this is likely why they gave you the bird.

So you are telling me its better to use your transmission as your brakes instead of your actual brakes because its not actually going to wear anything faster?

Nothing to see here, just Ford being Apple and patenting something they have no intention of ever using.

No, if you come to the stop sign at the same time as another driver the person on the right has the right of way, my driving instructor told me it was to the left.

You likely hit the nail on the head. I realized what was happening one day when we went for a drive and I noticed his brake lights would come on at random times, including while accelerating or just cruising. I have no idea how he didn’t feel the car drag any but I could see it from time to time.

Transmissions are so much more than “just gears”.

I had friends who though this way as well. Funny part was he always drove around resting his other foot on the brake pedal so everywhere he went he was roasting the brakes. He managed to somehow get Subaru to buy back a 4 year old WRX because he was going through brakes every 3000 miles and managed to kill 3 clutches

And place all the wear and tear on the transmission. Better to replace a thousand dollar plus item then hundred dollar items.

My driving instructor told me at a stop sign you yield left. I told him that’s not what drivers ed said and he was not having it.

I have the base FiST seats and it is my biggest regret with that car. I am keeping my eye out for at least a drivers Recaro.

My only real issue with the ST1 FoST is the Sync 1, its garbage. Fiesta on the other hand doesn’t have those ST1,2,3 levels etc. Its all Sync 2/3 with options for seats or nav etc so it can work out a lot better.

I know a few really big guys who have the Recaros in the Fiesta. They said it was hell for the first month or two but after a while the seats broke in and are very comfortable. Before you write them off completely see if you can find any larger owners of either who have had their cars for some time and sit in them. By

Are you outside the US? In the US the FiST gets the same insurance rates as the Fiesta S with most carriers.
