“Toyota”
Yeah sure.
My friends HOA still fined everyone not watering with state water restrictions in place. No one paid the fines and told the board to kick rocks, but some of these little dictatorships think that they can override state or local laws.
What is it with first gen boxster owners? Every single one of them I have known turned out to be an embezzling douche. Either owning the company they are stealing from or being upper management doing the same. None of them were particularly crafty at it as they all got caught.
Ever seen a mower with a V8 swap? That is all I can think of that would compare.
Well you said to give it time, once we give EV this time you talk about those prices will come down and designs will get better. Give EV that decade and lets see who wins out.
Gas range for ICE powered vehicles are not much better then some of the best EV cars. Sure you can make fuel tanks larger but then you are hauling around more weight. Once we hit the 300-400mi range the issue becomes charging times and not range as you have already matched all but the most fuel efficient cars out…
There are two things needed for fuel-cells to catch on, one is of course fueling infrastructure. The second is the styling of the car, that is going to drive away a lot of people. Sure the Prius Prime may sell but it is based on a tried and true technology where you can fuel up anywhere. This thing is just butt ugly…
I would hope he doesn’t do away with one of their better selling car segments. It seems that for all the slump their cars are seeing the performance ones just keep selling.
When you need one they are pretty awesome. Say your parent with Alzheimer is living with you and constantly leaves lights on all day, you can put in one of those switches or smart bulbs and have the timer turn them off every few hours. Or say the guys who built your house decades ago didn’t have the foresight to…

2011 is a lifetime ago in the tech world. The issue is how fast is that 4gb of ram compared to today’s 4gb of ram, I would bet significantly slower, and the IOs on that processor are likely even worse. The throughput carplay needs is part of the reason the USB hubs had to be upgraded for Sync 3. Its not the full…
Calm down, you can do the hardware upgrade yourself for much cheaper. They just say you need to visit a dealer because well, they don’t trust you to not fuck it up.
That is the issue, the hardware can’t handle the onboard infotainment system it was designed for very well, it surely can’t deal with the requirements for carplay/android auto. Or maybe it can but Ford has already shown they are denying MFT ever existed so I think you have a better chance at being president then…
I have seen a few dealers quoting ~450 dollars for the upgrade for carplay. Its a 45 dollar part and about 10 minutes to install the hub at the most. If your dealer tells you this price walk away, order the part yourself and google how to change it out then report the dealer to corporate.
No, its been upgraded to the turning radius of a crew cab long bed F450 King Ranch. /S
The exhaust on these cars are not really that loud, in fact the cars come with sound symposers for a reason.
Current owner here, if you hang out with a club you will see that the ones getting rid of the cars were really not interested in the car in the first place, it was either what they could afford, or bought it on a impulse.
The first two Focus RS models were FWD were they not? That is why the third gen was such a step up.
Are they going to guarantee that my steering wheel button doesn’t register as a tap when I change songs or hit pause etc?
It doesn’t have popups so they are starting out on a failure there. Sure that was not their fault but that was really one of the best features of the 8 series.
