I beg to differ. The youngest boomers were only 9 when The Strand came out. The middle boomers were 18 and the oldest 27. They were also listening to Bowie, Joy Division, Patti Smith, and the Ramones.

Years ago, when I moved out of state for a new job, I asked people to call me Debra, not Debbie or Deb. Until a few years ago, that was a difficult ask. Lately, Debra (or Deborah) has become a popular choice for characters or references on TV (e.g., SNL’s “Debra’s Time”).

“But even today they echo in our wedding traditions of fathers ‘giving away’ daughters to their husbands, held over from when fathers widely had total control over whom they could marry.”

I’m reminded of the Firebird Esprit special editions aimed at women in the late ‘70s: the Sky Bird, Yellow Bird and Red Bird, complete with a feminine bird logo.

Yeah, but just wait till he’s interviewed again in 5-10 years.

Trump’s not being blackmailed. He’s doing all of this in the hopes of building a big, beautiful Trump Tower in the middle of Moscow.

The hypothetical person you used in your examples should be hypothetically proud to be called an SJW.

Let’s go Krogering!

Chris Redd had one line about sweet breads (donuts) in the Super Bowl/Revolutionary War sketch and bit it hard.

After watching the first six or seven episodes, I just couldn’t get into it. I will, however, DVR tomorrow’s ep for Jack’s death.

If Tim Allen wants to prove how un-PC he is, why doesn’t he reclaim his original surname?
