I support that. Someone once asked me how did we “walk in the streets here in Brazil, with all the alligators and the snakes”. I replied that we were very civilized, so we had 3 lanes: one for people, one for alligators, and one for snakes.

I think I’ve seen those people! Only this time they were encouraging their child to hold crackers out to a raccoon. A raccoon that was walking w an unsteady gait through a crowded park at 2:00 in the afternoon. Also the “ranger” was like, an eighteen yr old kid from a private security guard company who was

When I was in college I spent a semester in Europe. My mother was telling our neighbors about my trip, and told them that I had visited Germany and went to the concentration camp in Dachau. The neighbor lady (a grown-ass woman) asked: “They do tours there? Don’t the prisoners care that people are coming just to look

We do the same kind of division of labor, but it is way easier now that our kids are older (21 & 22) and not living at home 90% of the time. I shop, Mr. Momster brings in the groceries and puts them away. He cooks (it’s self-defense, really), I do the dishes. I clean up the dog vomit, he disposes of dead animals in

Honestly. The wife works from home 3 days a week and the nanny is probably there while she works at home, like my son is at daycare 5 days a week while I work outside the home. That’s not a luxury: they probably pay much less those of us with full-time daycare do. And someone having who comes in an hour or two twice a

Meanwhile, guess who’s still at home watching the kid!

“My earliest memory, doc? Chaos. My mother, all these adults yelling, crying, screaming. So scared. Mom is screaming in my ear. Then this....thing...comes looming up fast, straight at me. It’s weird kinda orangy color, crazy fur hat on, loud, yelling, going for me but my mom is lunging right at it, like she being

When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you

I really, really don’t want to make light of a situation, but, as a teacher, I couldn’t imagine finding someone that age attractive. Half the time they act like annoying shits that know everything, the other half of the time they’re embarrassed because they called you “Mom” by accident.

People are willing to believe a 15-year-old has more sexual agency than an adult, if the adult is a woman and the child is male. That’s why people might feel sorry for her, or think she’s mentally ill, or think the young boy made a choice in the matter while the grown woman had no say.

Is Jezebel still a feminist page or nah? All these comments making fun of a dude wear a “lady” sweater got me lost.

So many armchair lawyers in the comments, who are also apparently omniscient because they seem to know exactly what Caitlyn was doing even though the investigation into the incident concluded otherwise.

What do you mean? They did do a full investigation—no speeding, no phone use, not under the influence of anything, etc. It’s been covered in the news fairly extensively.

Nope. The way they are treating this case is exactly how they treat every other case. There was no evidence of reckless (no speeding) or distracted driving (no texting, no talking on phone, etc). If she had gotten charged with anything, that would have been the exception.

Stop.

You might think that, but the fact is that if you kill somebody and you weren’t drunk and you don’t run, you probably won’t be charged.

Do you know this? Because I can assure you if there were no mitigating factors like DUI or whatever you probably wouldn’t be prosecuted. You might still be sued by the family, probably would in fact, but I’m sure Caitlyn is facing that as well.
