I'm in the minority here, but I have gmail as exchange on my iphone, and I have what I need. Contacts synced. Yup. Calendar. Yup. Perfect. Simple and effective.

Its all well and good in theory. But to paraphrase ThistleDog, this isn't a once size fits all situation. Metro areas are great for work. But horrible for congestion, traffic, etc. So closer to the city may save commuting costs, but your property rates will go up, taxes, gas prices, etc.

I can't get siri to recognize my wife. It keeps saying "cannot find contact Mrs. First. Middle Last" (listing out my wifes full name). Despite that its there. And it found it. And she is listed as my spouse, and I as her spouse. I think Siri is in denial of my marriage.

I'm with you as well. I don't need all the extras. I just want the exchange functionality. Sync my contacts, calendar and email. Even if they come out with an app, I may skip it. My pet peeve though is that the email set up in the iphone doesn't put Gmail as exchange, despite the fact that its the best way to use it.…

The commanders should support having a happy presence around. I'm not in the military, nor have any knowledge. But its a proven fact that a dog increases spirit, happiness, and has loads of other benefits. And frankly, it's probably a better life for the dog as well.
