Biden doesn’t want to be there. He’s there because he has too. There was no one else that could get enough votes. He will stick around, sign some stuff and then bow out saying Kamala will carry the torch on the groundwork he laid.  Once they think the public will receive that message favorably he will be gone.

I was able to helpfully find out why the average cost was so high — and it’s a lot more complex than “stupid government” and overspending.

Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?

I’m the first person to pile on former President Trump for his failures as President, because there were... many. With that said, Trump inherited poor infrastructure, and then did a whole lot of nothing. Our problems aren’t going to be fixed in four years, because we’re staring down four decades (plus) of poor planning

Well, I find articles like this so badly written that they’re ultimately self-defeating and turn off commenters who would normally agree on most points. For instance, I was a big fan of Sorry We Missed You, drove a work Sprinter for some time at a gig job, and I make a pointed effort to avoid Amazon, so I’m pretty

Wow, 2 totally different but great news stories!

“The United States is supposed to be the greatest country on earth” - literally nobody outside of America thinks this is the case.

This is my thinking as well. Our energy future should be everything on the table, including modern nuclear plants. The same left-wing people (and I tend to lean left on the political scale) who (rightly) decry right-wingers as anti-science should also look inward with regards to nuclear. The fact that we don’t build

I’m a scientist and an environmentalist, and the fact that we’re not building modern reactors all over the place is absolutely mind-boggling. The alternatives suck (dams!) or require a lot of infrastructure that doesn’t exist yet (wind and solar+batteries).

I like how Europe is basically just pretending nuclear power doesn’t exist, despite the fact that nuclear power is the reason why they were able to overcome fossil fuels.

President Donald Trump famously has never had a sip of alcohol.

AMC Eagle sedan/wagon.

Is it just me, or is the Mirai the best looking car Toyota currently sells? I really love it.

The entire stock market is fake money being propped up by quantitative easing that is only really going to the investor class. If all of that money actually started circulating we might even get some inflation. If there’s anything 2020 has done, is drive that point home.

You’re making fun of a personal projected self image based on a car on a car site? Are you a TBI patient at this very moment?

All the House members from “contested” states should have done the “right” thing and refused to be sworn in until there is a thorough investigation in voting irregularities.

People who work for the secret service need to be sharp enough of to tell if someone is a threat to do real damage.

Norway is roughly twice the size of my state, Washington - with a little less population (5 vs 7 million, roughly). While you may be right that people in Oslo don’t drive much - this is not a densely populated, tiny country. What’s at work here is that they invested their oil wealth into infrastructure and EV

Yes, that’s correct. It’s a bad deal for people (or to be specific, workers as it would benefit consumers and capital providers). Of course, the problem is that it won’t stop it because there’s too much value there for the capital to ignore. The only thing stopping it is whether it will work or not.
