my god that is bleak and almost certainly correct.

^^^^THIS^^^^ I love 70s commuter cars that look like museum pieces. Doubly so if they are japanese but my god has that market gone up. Untouchable now.
As someone who was born after the original airing, it might be unusual for me to have seen every episode of the Rockford Files. 3x. Easily my favorite show and Lt. Diehl is my alter ego. That said, I don’t know how many people are familiar with the concept of “Rockford a tadpole” as much as it pains me to say it.
I think you are spot on. One of my all time favorite episodes.
I’m genuinely curious about this position. More people in the supply chain need to get paid so it definitely costs more to buy from a dealer (doesn’t mean I pay more). When I worked in retail often the supplier/manufacturer sold direct and yes it was more expensive but that was because they couldn’t undersell the…
This is exactly correct and the single biggest miss by the democratic party. One of these two parties (or a third) needs to truly represent the coastal elites and the disenfranchised middle americans among many others. This us and them is getting the US nowhere.
This is true. Pundits from both sides agreed this needed reform in 2016.
The biggest problem with the Democratic party of the last 20 years has been ignoring the disenfranchised of all colors in middle america. There is truth to the coastal elitism. A party, ANY PARTY, need at least acknowledge the struggles of all americans and give voice to their concerns.
No one is going to click that link and read the truth but I really the subversiveness. :)
That he has said he deeply regrets given the unintended consequences. Has Trump ever said he was wrong about something? Humility is a critical factor in any leader.
this guy fuckin gets it.
It’s almost like you think that incident happened in isolation with no other data points to back up this is a systemic problem.
I’ve been depressed about that myself, however, whenever there is change the pendulum starts to swing more violently. Trump is the reaction to Obama presidency. I think we’re about to see another violent swing the other way. The real question is where do we stand once the pendulum normalizes again? As tough as this…
That is an ignorant perspective. A lot of the poor that have been exploited weren’t your neighbors. So yeah, a lot of people in the US got rich over the last 250 years but that was on the backs of the Chinese, Mexicans and Africans that helped develop this country. As those countries developed we’ve moved into…
I’m fascinated by the concept that if you “work hard” get rich. Most of the poor people I know are the hardest working people on the planet. I think the issue is plenty of people are working VERY hard for the exceptionally wealthy and those trickle down economics we’ve heard so much about never really came to be.
If I could give you all the stars I would. What I continue to fail to understand is what is the real endgame? If there is no middle class to buy stuff every industry suffers and you end up in a French Revolution type scenario. I can’t see wanting that. Also who wants to govern a wasteland of the impoverished? If I was…
This. Also being in the NW corner of the country Seattle is the T1 trauma center for Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho (WWAMI). Seattle has an extremely high infant mortality rate for the same reason, we get all the hardest cases.
RE: POTUS, there are a lot of drugs (steroids) that make you the walking dead. Feel great but masks underlying issues. In many ways they are comfort medications where symptoms can exacerbate the underlying issue so steroids provide relief while you heal but usually at the expense of other undesirable outcomes. So he…
Now this person is dropping some science. This is the part that seems to be misunderstood by most screaming about lockdowns and masks. Focus has been on mortality but that isn’t the most likely negative outcome.
Seattle uses trolly-buses almost exclusively. Makes for a weird aerial view as our streets are clouded with overhead wires but the diesel electric buses are pretty cool.
