This event has all the cultural relevance of a butter churning contest wearing a poke bonnet.
I can’t believe they still twirl fucking batons, either.

I feel bad for the women (and their families) that have put in so much work and sacrifice for a chance to compete in something that they’ve been convinced means everything but could very well be streaming on Crackle for all anyone knows or cares. I honestly wasn’t sure if Miss America was still even a thing. Just put

“That night, I saw a woman placed on a throne without a kingdom while no one watched.”

This article is more beautiful than its subject.

I think the pressing question is, how many started metal bands?

“People of color are struggling too much in 2020 for the promoters not to have vetted and cleared accessories for the shows,” she said.

It is some bullshit but as an Eagles fan I am more than happy that the Cowboys, Giants, and Racial Slurs refuse to hire competent coaching staffs. They are all competence-averse and that’s the only reason a team held together by packing tape and Barbie doll hair could win the division (duct tape and shoe strings would

You can’t take a heritage car and bring it back as a rehash of another brand’s car. There is no excuse for Toyota doing this. Toyota knows how to make a sports car, and even if they wanted to be totally lazy, they could’ve taken the Lexus RC and started there.

Fair take, for sure, but it also entered a segment that is dying, fast.

I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).

Lots of car names became famous to normies for

The problem wasn’t how it ended, it was the execution (which was rushed and perfunctory).

Many, many of them. Including people who argue that the last season was a masterpiece and people hating it are because their pet theories didn't pan out.

Sweet baby Jeebus. There are actual D&D apologists. What a time to be alive.
