Honestly, that was me growing up. My parents played that mockumentary all the time, and I preferred a lot of the Rutles versions of those songs.

Imagine his surprise when he finds out that the Rutles are the bestselling, most beloved, act of all time, and everyone thinks his songs are just parodies.

After reading this, I really want to play a Star Wars style Monster Hunter game where Yaddle is your point of contact for hunting beasts on various planets.

I love this article, the leg work and the interviews.

Something I have yet to see any exec from Rockstar address is a simple thing that pretty much no creative professional I know disagrees with:

A.) I’m 36.

B.) I am a professor of Rhetorical Composition and Literature—and coming from a professional in the field, prescriptivism in casual communication is not a good look, particularly in light of how language actually functions.

C.) It’s a colloquialism. If that’s all it takes to get your boxers in a bunch (and

if my wife found out, which she won’t” lol

I think Force Awakens does that to some extent, in part because that movie (which I generally love) is fueled by a lil’ bit of myopia that results from keeping your eyes on “doing it for the fans.” But as a semi-notorious prequel-lover, I was actually delighted by how Last Jedi rolls them in gracefully. Besides

...Man, I think I’m going to keep coming back to this piece all day, thinking about it more. Upon reflection, this bit is really sticking with me:

Finally able to post after someone recommended me...anyway, I was satisfied with how Richard died. He was always written as a nasty little thug, never as anyone intelligent or worthwhile. At first I thought it was a waste to not see him with Audrey, but I didn’t really want to see that (and I don’t think I’m ever

it Let me remind everyone that while Steam should at the very least tell him why his game was pulled from Steam, this is not censorship in any way, shape or form as Eek’s game was not banned by the government and he can still have his game ready for download on any other website that he chooses. Eek making changes to

That fun little nugget was absolutely the most terrifying part for me...like this man thinks we’re all up in arms over $12/month insurance? Can we uh...please have $12/month insurance that appreciates over time?

Thank you for this. A woman isn’t lacking in agency just because she’s making decisions you don’t agree with. I might concede that she’s in over her head, but to cast her as someone so blank that she can’t muster up the power to make her own decisions is a disservice to both her, and other women like her. Just because

Because the Joker would just be considered a regular guy in Florida.

Perfect. $1,300 to read comics. Sounds like a good investment.

(The unexplained proliferation of Nokia phones was the single most unbelievable part ofMission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, a movie where Tom Cruise fights a jet engine in a secret underwater lair.)

My fave part is the dude who salutes the fuck outta Pullman. NO human in existence has ever saluted as enthusiastically as he did.

Erasing people of color, trans folks, and not casting actual LGBTQIA folks for characters that portray them is so ridiculous and shameful and indicative of how these people are treated generally in real life. This is a disaster.

We know how this ends:

Not to mention when Grandpa Gene comes to live with them and he tells his daughter that she’s going to kill herself when she goes to light up.
