It’s one of the best JRPGs period. Had it came out in the ps2 or ps1 era it would’ve been enshrined as an all time classic. But because it was on 360 in the middle of its life cycle, for a niche genre on the platform, like 30 people played it.

I mean it’s pretty dumb, but at the same time one of the only visible ways consumers can effect a developer who does something they don’t like. People can say vote with their wallets, but that’s not very direct, and relies on consensus from everyone else that might not care enough or follow industry news.

There used to be a time when I could look at “New Releases” and look through every single title, knowing there was some value to be had. It meant that there wasn’t a release every week, but it meant that there was time to look through them and they all had something to justify their place.
