It’s one of the best JRPGs period. Had it came out in the ps2 or ps1 era it would’ve been enshrined as an all time classic. But because it was on 360 in the middle of its life cycle, for a niche genre on the platform, like 30 people played it.

I mean it’s pretty dumb, but at the same time one of the only visible ways consumers can effect a developer who does something they don’t like. People can say vote with their wallets, but that’s not very direct, and relies on consensus from everyone else that might not care enough or follow industry news.
Often, this is the only way to get a developer or publisher to take notice because they couldn’t give two shits about any other form of communication. If all the furor were isolated on their message boards, they’d pass it over and just wait for whatever storm it is to blow over. You think the whole GTA5 mod ban thing…
How is it entitlement to not want to be advertised to in a game you purchased? when phone games have ads they’re either free or you have to buy it to opt out of ads.
Ah, the game I shall always remember as the one where all the reviewers collectively dropped the ball. A brawler in which each player’s active quests and progress have to be independently updated during local co-op, and where the progress through the main story for everyone but the main player doesn’t update,…
I’d say if 1 video out of 1000 has a racial slur, and then another 1 video out of 1000 has “kill all jews,” then I’m going to go ahead and say that someone’s racist. I didn’t realize there was some statistical threshold that needed to be reached.
You’ve dug too deep.
It’s an idle clicker. The category only really exists because microtransactions.
This is very true up north as well...
I mean, ill believe it when I dont have to pay to unlock better gem patterns, or use a premium currency to play more than 5 games in a day, or have the same stage unless I want to pay for the “Iconic Ryu stage”, or have 5 different levels of the same characters, each level putting more trash down on my opponent when I…
Having the sick impulse to call the cops, from the site of one of the worst flood disasters in American history, to report victims of that flood for looting a supermarket; but also: a crime
nope
I think this is hating on Swift because that’s the thing to do. I don’t even like her music, and even I think it’s not that bad. (I don’t like or hate her music to clarify) Why is this article even a thing? Just to cash in on the fact that she has a new song out? Instead you could talk about her trial or something…
Just dumpstered this game yesterday. Fuck APEX missions, fuck the loot systems, fuck the singleplayer, fuck everything about Andromeda. Even the good stuff is bogged down by the shit around it.
I can’t speak for anybody else, but the flood of crap has definitely turned me off. I used to browse periodically through categories that interested me and look for games that seemed fun - particularly at sale time. These days, though, I pretty much don’t even try. Unless I see a glowing review from someone I trust,…
Because some people buy reviews with free keys to make a shit game seem good? Because (at least back in greenlight’s days) a good game would be lost in the flood of trash and never get the votes it needed to be greenlit? Because it’s harder to find a gem of a game the more trash you have to sift through to even see it?
There used to be a time when I could look at “New Releases” and look through every single title, knowing there was some value to be had. It meant that there wasn’t a release every week, but it meant that there was time to look through them and they all had something to justify their place.
Shit shovelware will keep flowing.
Yeezus yimminy Yumpin’ Flash, I don’t even have time for all the PHYSICAL games I own, let alone the amount of asset flip games being dumped on Steam like New York City garbage on a barge. No thanks. This isn’t better than Greenlight, it’s ten thousand times worse. Now anybody who can scrape up enough money to buy…
