maybe not that exact system, but people have been putting flaps and butterfly valves in exhausts for decades now.

"No discount for you!!!"

Sounds good, interested in how one would allocate the revenue though with so much interstate travel. Say, for whatever reason, you base your national shipping company in RI. How many miles in a given year are actually done in RI? When it comes time to re-register, why would RI get the income?

you are just so wrong

I'm not caught up on those things. Hence the purchase of a '15 wrx instead of a '15 GTI

Thank you for that long explanation about how you didn't answer the question you were responding to. Could've saved us both some time by saying "no" and moving on. I'm tired of this "it's not as fast but that doesnt matter because the dash is soft and pretty" bullshit. The original QOTD was "crap car, good on track"

The question wasn't "is there a fast GTI," the question was "has there been a GTI faster than the cobalt SS."

I'm glad to see natural aspiration will live on in the GT3 models, but turbocharging seems to make a lot of sense. One question — what will they call the 911 Turbo if all 911s have turbos?

Fair. I won't argue that the GTI is a better car. It is, by a wide margin.

Sure. The original QOTD was about how good cars were around a track. Sorry I didn't take 0-60 times into consideration when citing track times.

So after 8 years, the Golf R is as fast as a 2007 cobalt?

The MK7 GTi was 6 seconds slower around VIR in last years C&D Lightening Lap (not performance pack but still 6. Full. Seconds). I don't care about 0-60.

Has there been a factory GTI that is that fast yet?

Poor Evo.

it was the vietnam war. would you say people in the navy didn't serve on their ship in nam? because, you know, they were in the sea?

i mean, did you not stop and think I was referring to "nam" as in the war?

I believe the order is 2-1-3

7. Biting Hard Into Your Steering Wheel: Why It Feels So Damn Good

So if you are in the market for a three-pedal luxury sedan with grip at all four wheels, you should buy yourself a BMW, use the $1000 savings and get some damn snow tires. However, if you insist, Audi will gladly sell you an A4/S4 with a stick, or you can make "bro" a regular part of your vocabulary and get

Ah, yet another one of the configurations that the internet clamors for but never buys is taken off the shelves.
