if that’s how you see it I dare say I’m not the one who can change your mind...but I don’t see the “same argument for decades” thing in the same light...

“Barr performed exactly as you’d expect an acting attorney/AG to perform at a Congressional hearing.”

He’s acting exactly as I’d expect Trumps personal lawyer to perform. He’s supposed to be working for me, not the President.

Centrist voters that think both sides-

There is nothing wrong with that if you have no context around it.

Labeling Republican politicians corrupt is a whole other thing from labeling Republican voters deplorable.

Ignore policy and just run against corruption. Every add should note how much taxpayer money Trump has funneled to himself.

or “i’m the AG in charge of these investigations, but I don’t know the details of them.”

Corrupt is definitely a critical concept to push, and push hard.  Totes agree.

Which is exactly why I will believe he will agree to testify when he actually shows up.

“Centrist” voters are tired of hearing that the Right is corrupt? Why would a “centrist” care about that?

He means “receptive” as in Volume I, Page 173.

“Deplorable” is not the same as corrupt, even though they intersect here. And, the closing message in 2016 wasn’t about deplorable (that was a distraction that the right elevated), but about DT’s lack of trustworthiness.

That and the “I read the report, but I don’t know shit about what it said”.

He was hired largely in part because last June he auditioned for the job by submitting a twenty page paper to the DoJ on how the FBI was over reaching, Mike Flynn should be freed and Trump can’t obstruct justice by default.

Every Dem, from now until Nov 2020 (and after as well), needs to label Republicans broadly, and Trump specifically, as corrupt.

Like watching Oliver fucking North again.

Barr was hired by Trump largely in part because Barr lied to Congress about the conclusion of a FBI memo in 1989 and that because he helped orchestrate the final cover up of the Iran/Contra scandal in 1992 so he could do the same for Trump. The problem this time around is that the Trump campaign/administration are

Josh Hawley trying to act tough during that hearing was hilarious. The GOp are such bad-faith actors, it’s despicable.

At one point this asshole literally said “i don’t know what you mean by ‘receptive.’”
