Women as racehorses? That is a new low in dehumanizing misogyny. That is fucked up bruh.

I dont think the accusation would have been thrown at her if she weren't so self-righteous though.

Can the free-spirited girl be dying of cancer, which teaches the main character that life is a gift?

I don't want to oversell the dog, he's in maybe 5 minutes total. But man, that dog steals the show.

Yeah, considering Deathstroke is the villain, there's not much hope this won't be just a brainless action fest where Batman is depicted as a quasi-military commando.

Well, I saw Certain Women, an achingly sad little film about a very cute dog chasing a 4 wheel ATV. I give it 4 CGI Tarkins out of 5.

Bleh, who needs them when you got Julianne Moore?

I haven't read it, but Mariko Tamaki's writing tends to be a chore. I'm still slogging my way through This One Summer.

I know it was pandering as hell, but I gotta say, watching Vader chop down all those guys in that hallway was amazing. His voice though, not so good. It sounded odd, as if Jone's wasn't using his natural voice, but was instead doing a cartoon impression of his old Vader voice. He ended up sounding like Emperor Zurg.

I was pretty disappointed by Rogue One. It's not a terrible movie by any means, it just didn't rise above ok for me. In a word, I would describe the movie as 'functional'. The plot functioned, the characters served their function, but there just wasn't anything interesting or ambitious in the telling of this story,

Looks like crap.

So this Dune will have a big giant spider at some point (the heptapods were basically giant spider-squid-human hand things)?

Hey, quit clownin around.

Well i may have exaggerated a little.

That perfectly describes at least 90% of the art world right now. Galleries are plastered with images of the poor and desperate, sold exclusively to an audience of jaded rich white collectors. It's why I hate shit like the stuff Kehinde Wiley makes.

I think shes at least set a good example for other creators, both to draw inspiration from and react against. I kind of see shows like Atlanta, Insecure, Broad City and a bunch of other shows as having spawned from Girls, or at least from the conversation about representation that it inadvertently started. Dunham

I'm beginning to think this Lena Dunham is severely lacking in self-awareness.
Edit* Also, that face she's making in the video; what is she going for there? Did she practice that face in the mirror?

Just show him Pulp Fiction or Half-Baked.

PUDGY, pasty and morose is the secret combination.

I don't know. Pigeonholing another asian actor with the role of the Ancient One wouldn't exactly have been progressive (it seems like it would've been the easier decision), but it would have been nice to see them try to modernize that stereotype and have a good Asian actor bring some depth to the role.
