I'll say this for the DC movies, they're at least pretty interesting in their crappiness and miscalculation. There's a trainwreck aspect to them thats pretty fun to argue about. The Marvel movies are good, but kind of bland in their mediocre competence. I guess I'm saying at least the DC movies are trying to be

SS was a terrible piece of crap, but frustratingly so because it felt rushed and broken, so it's almost impossible to judge it objectively. BvS was a terrible piece of crap, but at least Snyder got to tell the story he wanted.

Maybe, but for those who don't like Man of Steel, all the excessive destruction was a big reason to dislike the movie. You can't really have an opinion about the movie that doesn't take that aspect into consideration.

(Loud airhorn noise) MUR-MUR-MUR-MURRRRR!!!

Son of Zorn? More like Son of Cancelled!

I was wondering if the AVClub would report on this, yeah this is a big frickin deal. I've heard his music all my life, but only begun to appreciate his baladas as an adult. His was really one of the most sincere, beautiful and powerful voices I've ever heard.

To be fair, the actress they cast isn't white, is she?

I've only seen her in that Maze Runner sequel, but i liked her a lot. She's definitely a high point in that endless series of chase scenes.

I might have to give Hail Caeser a rewatch, it didnt work for me the first time.

What about The Ladykillers, Hudsucker Proxy, and Hail Caeser?

Garret Hedlund and…who? Surely not Carey Mulligan?

Oh hell yes. Llewyn Davis is great, but A Serious Man is on another level. Its just so dark, yet still manages to be hilarious.

Pretty much. Still, this game looks kind of good. I'm a sucker for detail and verisimilitude in environmental design, and that house looks like so many generic-ass houses.

I don't know, is ripping off a style considered infringement? He probably knows he can't win, since they haven't explicitly ripped off any of his jokes.

If you ask one their name, and they tell you its Rooney, then that one is Rooney. By process of elimination, the other one must be Kate. Be warned: there are no absolute truths, reality is merely an illusion. They are neither Kate nor Rooney, and yet they are both Kate and Rooney at the same time.

I think it's just that kids and families don't like silence. They like wall to wall barrages of noise and poop jokes.

Thank goodness for Laika, they're keeping an artform alive. I wish another rich person's son would open up a hand-drawn animation studio.

Alison Pill would also be great. The Duff is ok, Mae Whitman makes it watchable.

Am I Savage?
Spit Out the Bone
…titles are hard.
