I always confuse Dastmalchian with Patrick Fischler. I could’ve sworn it was him in the Mulholland Drive scene at the diner with the dumpster monster.

This looks/sounds very cool. Definitely interested in seeing it. I’m trying to find a good comparison for Dastmalchian’s recent rise to “odd-looking character actor who always delivers,” and I think I’ve landed on “he’s the new Steve Buscemi.”

The original was so over the top silly, which is what made it so entertaining.

Roadhouse is gleefully dumb, but it’s also one of the most entertaining movies of the decade. It’s infinitely rewatchable. I doubt this will be.

I mean, it’s not like the original Road House was getting four-star (or even three-star) reviews when it came out. If I recall, it was pretty universally panned. But at least the original was entertaining.
