It was bad. I knew it would be bad going into it, but I'm a Vonnegut fan and I think that actually made it worse. The movie comes off as a spastic chaotic mess when the book had more method to the madness.

My thoughts exactly. The book takes the whole idea of limitless wealth and time and shows you that it might not be free will after all. One of my favorite Vonnegut novels.

What's with the intense pan drums drowning out the video?! I thought I was watching X Files for a second there.
