She was actually a pioneer in microbiome research and did a 16S rRNA analysis of the microbes it contained.

Was this written by someone while they were having a stroke?
If you’ll permit me to get personal for a moment, I work in the arts (as a graphic designer) and it became really clear to me that my own anxiety and struggles with mental health mean I’ll likely never do what this industry considers great work. Doing design work at a major firm is unbelievably demanding and I’m…
Norway around it, this stinks.
I know it sounds like a dumb platitude, but it’s true: it’s never really easy, but it does get easier. Hang in there. You’re putting in the work — because it is work, and requires effort — and that’s what’s important.
I’ve noticed this becomes more apparent during the climactic chase, first we follow Nicholson running out the door, then we follow Duvall but it’s not the same somehow?
That movie had some really interesting, fun bits. One I remember was in the movie, when the poor chef is driving through the storm, he passes a car flipped on the side of the road - that car is the make and model that Jack drives in the book, as a subtle fuck you to King. I love petty stuff like that.
Yes! I have feelings about The Shining as a film (it’s a technically great and disturbing film but a disappointing adaptation that deeply misses the point of the source novel and I HATE Nicholson as Torrance because he’s a loon from the jump) but its use of space to create discomfort is fantastic.
We need MORE WWI stuff this side of the Atlantic.
Well someone’s hair is perfect!
oh my god
Here’s your star, Dad.
Goddammit #1: How am i just now hearing about this series??
Goddammit #2: I am NOT signing up for any more goddamn streaming services! Well, maybe. (Shaggy dog Gary Oldman is the best Gary Oldman.)
The experience inspired him to write the book. “There were five people put on an ECMO machine that night and the other four died and I survived. So the big question is why? Why was I the one? There has to be some kind of reason.”
It looks to be that this ‘someone’ (or ‘somebodies’ in this case) are Candance Owens and her husband, who is the CEO of Parler. No wonder she’s been kissing his ass so much these past couple of weeks. Grift, grift, grift.
I couldn’t imagine how to even get him help. His inner circle is likely too scared of being…
Someone is taking advantage of this poor fool’s mental illness to con him out of his money.
That’s interesting, considering Netflix didn’t blink in the face of the (possibly overblown?) backlash against Dahmer
If that had been true I'd kinda love that. Even more so if Julie Andrews was the murder victim. The ultimate Knives Out fan fiction.
“It was an honor to have Dame Lansbury on board to play the movie’s surprise killer. Oh wait, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that.”
My main reason to click through this was to see where Halloween III landed, glad that it landed pretty high as I do agree the premise is so nuts that it works.
