There was a Pharma research facility near my college. It had these huge steam vents so in winter there’d be a ton coming out of them. I used to joke that they were pumping chlorofluorocarbons into the atmosphere so we’d all get cancer and they could sell us cancer drugs. We’d all laugh. Now it’s not so funny.

This is exactly why medicine should not be completely a for-profit industry.

The answer seems fairly easy to me: a subscription model that will keep people paying a small monthly fee so they can have access to all the health treatments they wish.

Waiting for my JuvD Type 1 cure I’m sure has been sitting in a desk drawer for decades.

It’s a valid worry in a country where medical care is viewed as a money-making business instead of a social function. Them just bringing up what a lot of businesses are probably worrying about here doesn’t make them bad or wrong. We need to talk about these things, so people understand just how badly broken healthcare
