kiddofspeed - I read her Angelfire site back in the 00's.

Maybe the world is blind, or just a little unkind.

Exactly. We just managed to contaminate areas further from our homeland, is all.

Right! I remember the bluebird sky on 9/11 - driving to work at 7:30 am, my car radio picked up a station from New York City, in New Hampshire. It’s always darkest before the dawn, so it’s always most beautiful before a tragedy?

Why not?  You know the ending.

Right, imagine if they spent 1/10th of that $30K on therapy!

Ed O’Neill might have been better, as well - Married with Children seemed to draw heavily from All in the Family.

Of course he allowed Dany’s dragon-based holocaust to happen to get where he is, which is totally creepy.

Unless there are dragon eggs or babies hidden away somewhere, and Drogon cares more about them than Dany.

I think she doesn’t believe King’s Landing or any of its occupants are innocent. She doesn’t want another Sons of the Harpy rearing its head.

She definitely broke the wheel.

Jon’s not dead - it was all a dream!

I think Jaime is setting her up - he wants to go kill Cersei, and doesn’t want her to follow and end up dead.

Because if they killed Ghost, then Tormond won’t send Jon a raven letting him know how Ghost ran away. Then Ghost “Incredible Journeys” Jon and follows him south, and MacGuffins him out of whatever impending battle happens, dying in *that* process.

Exactly! Coming in with a dragon at the end of the battle is. This battle was set up for Arya to kill the night king - we just didn’t see it the whole time. What an unexpected outcome!

Of course, the god of death might have had some guiding hand... but still, not deus ex machina.

Agreed! Most of the Wights fought like an ocean wave - not everyone gets pulled down, but eventually they will wear on anyone.

The battle leaders had a little bit of an idea about how to fight them - but didn’t know everything. Hardhome and being trapped on the frozen lake should have given them some idea, but in the

Dany left him behind to run things in Mereen - she didn’t want a lover clouding her judgement (and she was kind of done with him.) It was a positive breakup.

If you can’t remember 2 seasons ago (Will B) then maybe you should watch some other TV show... stuff from ages ago comes up quite frequently on GoT.

This is one of those shows that improves with multiple watches. The first viewing is about shock value, but then subsequent viewings show stronger threads within the show, and many subtle details. It’s too painful to watch multiple times in quick succession, though. You can see this potentially happening to America.

To be fair, nearly every battle in this series has had a MacGuffin of sorts: Bastards - Knights of the Vale. Frozen Lake dead attack: Dragon. Winterfell: Arya.  Every twist in the show can be called a MacGuffin: The Red Wedding, The Purple Wedding, Dany in the temple.  I don’t think Tyrian will rule, simply because

He gives us all a raisin to live.

He changed the weather at Hardhome, and the White Walkers always came with snow and ice. But I know meteorology was more of a stretch back then.
