Yup - if you won more in "crap" than the US tax limit allowed, and didn't have a decent sales venue (i.e. Ebay), that would be a quandary, as would winning a trip. People should expect to pay to play up front, on The Price Is Right, where they still give away some unsalable junk, or go on a cash only game show.

I totally get it. I love Pink Floyd.

True, but someone had to break the ground of the genre, and they did. They do things rhythmically and harmonically that are progressive, even if they weren't super technical. Their mainstream success made them popular, but it wasn't "pop" music. They weren't writing what the Carpenters wrote.

I won a car once, and sold it unused, and my accountant found that the law let me pay taxes only on the value it sold for, not the msrp. So if you win something over $600, the value at which a 1099 form is issued, but you can prove you sold it for less, it helps.

I blame Robin Leach.

I only like it when bands I like get in… fickle!

Nice! That had to rock.

Have you listened to Meddle or Atom Heart Mother? They made prog more mainstream with their huge successes, then went a bit Broadway thanks to Waters, but the innovation and weird shit was there early on. Gilmour can tear it up. I mean, he is no Steve Howe, but he is a master. It doesn't all have to be 16th notes

You must not be in New England, because it still gets a shitton of radio play up here. Whammer Jammer (pronounced without Rs of course) is awesome, too.

Anything from "Face the Music," except for Down Home Town, but especially Poker.

Pink Floyd? But I agree. Yes deserves recognition, before more members die.

Just because I am a woman in my early 40s doesn't mean I have either! ;)

Did you vote? There was a voting form, and you could vote every day…

Magic Dick is the bomb.

I will respectfully disagree. Yes is the pinnacle of progressive rock, and there is never enough smart music represented anywere. "Owner of a Lonely Heart" is not even a good example of their work. The author should listen to Fragile and Close to the Edge. I was lucky enough to see them 3 times in the early 00s,

It hasn't. I have a few Trump loving friends who continue to share it. I have become a troll who calls it out. Somehow, I haven't been blocked, and I won't block them. It is good to understand the insanity on the other side.

I'm sorry, that sucks. In some ways, it is good to be a large, 40 something woman, because society pretty much finds me invisible. That works for my introvert nature, even when I feel like the blob.

Well, they did say this AI was only exposed to Christmas music…

I wonder if Google also has a room full of 1000 monkeys working on 1000 typewriters, and what they are coming up with, by comparison.

No offense, but 6'3, 260 is in a lot of womens' wheelhouse of attractiveness. Many women like men who are naturally big and strong, and some women like to feel extra tiny and petite next to a big man (though, watch out for the crazy ones…). If you can, show yourself a little love, and don't be so hard on yourself.
