The big telcos HATE dealing with low population/poor population areas, and it's mostly a practical business consideration to be quite honest. Adoption rates are very low for the best services in these areas so profit margins are not very good. As a result the big guys tend to offer the lowest level and lowest quality…
My optimism is stymied by the fact that they opted for a single core processor. Not sure I want to buy into a phone who's hardware will be obsolete in a few months.
