Such a shame to see that these people were proud to represent their people in a film, only to be shot down by the fact that the movie is so offensive towards indigenous people. I understand that comedy is supposed to be unrestricted, but racial stereotypes are so TIRED, uncreative and unamusing.

eh, guybrush still took a jab at franco's directing. and the gay jokes are condescending, so i don't know what you're getting at here.

welp, here we are one year later.

…these comments are all so bitter and condescending. weird. i thought people who appreciate books and movies would be glad to see a prominent person in the film industry bridging the gap between film and literature. franco is more than qualified to be creating and performing in such adaptations: see his work with As I

he is so brilliant when it comes to adapting books to film; can’t wait to see this latest effort. steinbeck is my favourite. i laughed when i saw selena gomez on that cast list, but i'll give her a chance..

is she going to claim "on fleek" next??

i have so much respect for Franco and his work; no matter how much anyone mocks him, he will continue to do what he loves, experiment, and empower students to follow their dreams as well (as corny as that sounds).

this is so true

this is the funniest movie promo camaign i've ever seen hahaha can't wat to see The Interview and whatever the fuck else these guys do to promote it!

You're operating on the assumption that I implied my opinion is not debatable. Meanwhile, the dude I initially replied to had a really pretentious and prejudiced tone to his comment as he insinuated TVoTR ought to be generally more well-liked than the "ass clowns" of 1D.
I understand that people have different views

i've gone my whole life without seeing Lemony Snicket's visage and he looks much less sinister than i imagined. disappointed

if only he was hosting Franco was hosting the episode with 1D.. that'd be a RIOT.

That is understandable; I was referring to people who completely shun pop acts without taking the time to listen to any of their music.
I haven't kept up with AVC for very long, but it seems to me that if they are covering more mainstream stuff as of late, they are looking to popularize their site because pop music

Luckily for me, a handful of people have clicked on it. Thx for your concern

Again, you are allowing yourself to be blinded by their stigma of being a massively popular act rather than taking the time to learn about their work. I can tell you are resolved in your opinion, and its not my place to tell you what to think. No matter what your opinion, though, they truly are artists who care about

I get what you're saying, but you've only looked at the lead single off the album which I think doesn't really represent the overall tone of the record. That song is clearly made to the radio, whereas other songs such as 18 and Night Changes have a more personal and nostalgic feel to them. As for creative analysis of

Honestly, when I first heard "What Makes You Beautiful" back in 2011 I had no idea what the boys looked like. When I saw the video, I didn't find any of them to be good looking. Later on, I started to find them more attractive but their looks definitely are not what made me a fan in the first place. Even today I'm not

yes those are 3d glasses, that photo is a promo shot from their last movie hahaha

i think the fact that you think you're too good to listen to a solid pop album is much more sad than AVC skipping a TVoTR review. live a little! you might actually enjoy their music if you gave it a chance.
