I actually do think there’s something here that people, including myself, just aren’t technical enough in the science to describe, but is actually a real phenomenon. I’ve had NC headphones, good and bad, from all the way back when it was bleeding edge. Bose, Sony, Samsung, AKG, and a few cheap no-names. I have noticed

But the idea that you can draw a line precisely showing where major oceans begin and end is tremendously popular. And that idea seems particularly common among people who want to insist science doesn’t understand why “oceans don’t mix.”

100 years old, but from what I gathered from the prior comment, this change started happening in the last 40 years as old senior engineers retired from top brass positions. And while this could be said about a lot of companies and a lot of industries, a failure of company culture here isn’t just a failure of a brand.

It’s more or less a commercial for Taran Tactical and MMA at this point.

I recall reading a post by someone claiming to be in the industry saying that Boeing went from a company run by engineers to a company run by executives who are more concerned about stock prices than manufacturing standards. Sounds like this issue is a tolerance based issue, where the old Boeing would reject anything

That’s a game of semantics whether you use your TV, PS, Xbox, or PC as the streaming access point. They’re all just computers running operating systems, and don’t for a second think that your PS, Xbox, or PC hasn’t had their own exploits. It’s just far less common for people to think about ensuring their TV OS is

Most of these switches are so basic they only provide one circuit, so I have no idea how you’re getting a third option unless something is shorting accidentally. Although, I suppose it depends on the complexity of the unit. The microwaves that have separate opening buttons built into the handle could have multiple

The microwave door switch is a very basic device. It’s a circuit that relies on mechanical leverage to open or close the circuit, thus allowing the light and/or fan to turn on. So it is completely possible to creep a door open until you activate the switch without fully opening the door.

That’s a big gamble for Apple on the Airpods Max, not really updating much, if true. Their class competitors like Sony XM series seem to always tangibly improve their hardware each iteration, so I hope Apple doesn’t just rest of the fact that Apple people will tend to buy Apple products here.

I’m not currently taking Rule 34 requests, but thanks for the inquiry.

You very well might be right, as I have no experience with Asus warranty. But that still doesn’t really answer the question about why everyone else has a higher spec’d laptop in this class (double the ram, double the HD, superior screens, better port selection) for substantially less money. I assume some of these

I’ll credit Stan Lee for breaking ground on diversity, but for every step in the right direction he went, he took two steps back in the presentation. Black Panther, Shang Chi, and others were heavily stereotyped. They literally colored Shang Chi yellow in the earliest comic books. And for all the flattery Lee wrote

Dell’s pricing is just flat out insane. The base model starts at $1,499 for the Core Ultra 7 155h, 16gigs ram, 512gb M.2 drive, 1920x1200 500 nit display, and 3 USB-C ports.

Fair comment, but this post also has “What the hell is a GPU?” section. So I take this as a computer 101 article. A lot of msinfo data would be overkill for anyone who doesn’t even know what a GPU is.

I actually think he has a point. There are fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems. Two different classes of equipment and approaches/applications. Most fire departments make the distinction between the two, as often times you’ll see certain plans (such as a restaurant kitchen) that have a fire suppression syst

I still remember the first time I saw Google Maps’ 3D city renderings. It was notably mind-blowing, even for someone who is jaded with technology.

Yet. Cable companies gouge. I’m still get a charge for “HD Technology”. That’s not even referring to 4k. That’s 1080p. You get a fee to watch what is widely considered standard resolution. The craziest part about it is that I’m not even sure I could opt out to SD.

I actually like how the current 4Runner looks kind of throw-back to 90's-2000 era SUV’s. If they come out with a new design that just makes it look like a tall car, I’d lose interest. Interior refresh is always welcome though.

I’m kind of surprised Apple is only seeking $25k. Sure, that’s a kick in the nuts, but for one of their software engineers making in the $140-240k range/year? And that’s assuming he wasn’t senior level making multiples of that. Not that I care to back a corporation suing an individual. Just seems very un Apple-like to

That’s chump change for the potential number of lives he ruined in this.
