That trusted party module thing is a huge headache. I just recently updated my office computers to Win 10 and saw that MS was really pushing Win 11 as a “free” upgrade. But I have a feeling I’d be in the same boat as you with this Trusted Module thing, as my office computers are all over the place in terms of age and

God, I loved Gears 3 multiplayer, even with all the toxic player chat. None of the games that came after felt that Gears 3 in multiplayer. I hope they bring back that feeling.

I almost gave Mac the first shot since my Power Mac G3 (last Apple product I’ve owned) when I saw the M2 Macbook Air in person. The hardware was so stunning in person that I was doing some mental gymnastics justifying how I could somehow make it work. But some of my work programs would have required emulation, so I

One thing that did not make an appearance was the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar keyboard

This new Mac is most likely a class-leading piece of kit, so you wouldn’t be making a wrong decision. However, it is probably not best in class for the highest price/raw performance ratio. But if you can afford it, then have at it.

I love how Apple re-invents the color black by selectively utilizing it generations apart. It’s like a magic trick for the masses. Like people have never seen a black laptop before.

Is Elon’s wet dream to just tell your car what to do? No hands or eyesight required. I mean, I currently despise that notion despite having some of those options in my current car, but I think that’s what we’re heading towards like it or not.

I’m glad the subject is being taken seriously by this administration, but do wonder if it even matters in the grand scheme of things if other countries also don’t adopt something akin to this approach. Our dystopian future AI overlord doesn’t have to come from America, after all.

Ever? I’d still say 1986. To name a few:

Nice try, Gizmodo. Hiding math and logic questions with zombies.

There is one other pesky detail with this building, however: Zoning. Currently, it’s only zoned for industrial use, meaning you can’t just move in and call it a day.

The internet is fine. It’s the people that ruin it.

The one that was in my city seemed to last less than a full year. I did go there once and it was tasty, but a commitment of a dinner. I think they kind of shoot themselves in the foot as far as seat turnover is concerned with how long a meal can be, and lose there if the party isn’t drinking.

That’s exactly what they’re going for. A demand to see the C2PA for a piece of media to verify provenance and originality. Lack of a C2PA will most likely result in “unverified” status.

E-sports in Japan are seen the same as gambling and is regulated as such. There, you’ll often see tournaments without any cash prizes. So Nintendo probably views any tournament from around the world involving their games as “gambling”, and would rather disassociate their brand from that notion or demand strict rules

Seems like he prefers the movies where the Empire comes out on top at the end, and I can’t really argue that take. They are more interesting than the ones with classic “protagonist saves the day” endings.

Wonder why US never sought out LPG hybrids like I’ve seen in SE Asia. I realize the size of the country means fueling infrastructure will always be the hurdle, but there are many parts of the country that utilize LPG for home heating already, so there is some semblance of an existing infrastructure in place in some

Morgan Stanley and Bank of America have a combined 4.333 trillion dollars of assets to make money off of. Sure, they’ll lose some here, but in the grand scheme of things (and I do mean “scheme”), they’ll be ok.

But needing to follow a protagonist whose sympathies the film can leverage at any point blunts whatever judgment it wants to cast on its characters—and the broader history it’s trying to depict.

I’m the same. Learned that lesson when my dishwasher broke. Typically have everything I used to cook with washed and ready for reuse by the time the main dish is ready.
