What’s the electricity hit on one of these?

I admit I don’t really know much at all about this type of science, but I do question how these papers slipped by without peer scrutiny. I was under the impression the science community as a whole would sooner tear apart a weak publishing than endorse one no matter who published it, so I find it odd these were just

I found this on Android Play Store as well, but oddly, with an across the board 1 star review due to barrage of ads. This appears to be free on that platform, but supported by ads.

The original Taco John’s promotion was “Taco Twosday” (buy one, get one free tacos). That, I can understand. But “Taco Tuesday” seems too generic, as you mention. Does make me wonder though--did they have both “Twosday” and “Tuesday” covered?

This is far superior to a bloody mary, but both fall to a classic screw driver when it comes to “hair on the dog” brunch drinks.

Let’s have hundreds of thousands of people walking around in the streets, with phones pointed every which way, not paying attention to others or, you know... traffic!

Here’s one:

True, but it’s easier to have second thoughts and come back at 56 than 82. Given their typical processing time, this very well might be his last while alive.

Who doesn’t want to be transported away from *gestures broadly in every direction* in this day and age?

Reddit is like free crowdsourced labor at times.

MH370 was nine years ago?!?

Thing is, we all consume and contribute to our own suffering. While it’s true that the 1% end up contributing more to things like pollution and carbon footprints, it is the general public that affords them that lifestyle in this instance by demanding the lowest possible price over any semblance of ethical living. And

The measure of true pioneering isn’t always its success. Failure tends to bring a lot of data to the table that will only help with future ventures. Was this specific submarine poorly designed and constructed? Yes. Is it fundamentally wrong to want to explore the ocean floor? No.

I hope this doesn’t come off sounding too harsh, as I actually mean it as a bit of constructive criticism for improvement: Y’all really need to up your photography game. Sounds like you’re suggesting this is a good sandwich, but that cover photo really doesn’t show it. It is poorly lit (overexposed on the left edge

This was a great game. Certainly ground breaking on many levels. Really sold the game narrative in-game when everyone else was selling it on box art. Combat was futuristic for the time too. But those spiked gates and the run/stop lag....would be the end of like 90% of my games.

Definitely a “fix all” plot tool to answer any number of “but how?” questions. Will help explain how Kong can get to any number of continents without swimming. Will explain how new monsters pop up, as you mentioned. Will be a patch for any mystical, science and physics breaking plot devices. But this is sooooo lazy.

Or their war time treatment of China and Korea. There’s still beef to this day over that. But no one is truly innocent in war. The nukes US dropped in Japan killed somewhere in the neighborhood of 200,000 people, the vast majority being civilians.

I agree—it was a fun movie. The fight scene on the aircraft carrier was perfectly absurd for a monster movie. Now the plot and the Legendary franchise hollow earth lore...that required even more suspension of disbelief than gigantic monster fights. Not sure I like that direction.

I would buy that approach if this wasn’t Thailand. If they’re releasing a meme sandwich just for brand exposure, wouldn’t it make more sense to do so in a country that would actually get the joke “real cheese burger”?

Never heard of it. What do they serve?
