Depends on the scenario. If the trusted friend is, say, a real estate broker who is privy to pre-market leads and said there’s an insane offer and to wire the fund to his escrow (normal, if not required for most brokers), and I was a greedy millionaire who knows most real estate retains value over long term, even in t

Not just that, but Blizzard overwrote OV1 for console players without the owner pressing any buttons, which I wasn’t too happy about. I get that without server support, OV1 would have been dead in the water, but I bought that shit. I feel like the level of control over “owning” something has distinctly changed with

It’s interesting to hear in today’s context, particularly British people. “Bugger me!” is like saying, “fuck me!”, but with implicit suggestion of via sodomy. “Fuck me in the ass!” Similarly, “sod off” - “fuck off (specifically in the ass)“.

It’s a weird one. The term buggar has extremely old, racist connotations, but seems to have taken a life and definition of its own in modern times. Kind of like “I got gipped!” and gypsy. No one today thinks of Romanians if they casually toss out “gipped”, but is it still racist? Maybe.

Despite the flowery language, this is a lateral move in terms of just saying racist shit. A “bugger” or “buggar” is a slang term used towards a sect of Bulgarians. The term was coined by the catholic church in a smear campaign during the Albigensian crusade. The church even went as far as to associate “unnatural acts”

I feel like Hacksmith could use this strategy if he hasn’t already done so. He was battling burn out and mental health for a while, and its sounds like this was what Linus was also going through to make this decision.

Seconded. Comes off like an eightball and Redbull fueled stream of consciousness rant and already forgot what it was talking about after the first sentence.

M2 might end up still being faster, but I think it’s closer than you’re making it out to be.

It will be a vast improvement over the current market, but not so future flung that it will give Apple any lasting advantage.

The First Amendment argument will be an interesting one to see unfold. On one end, it could be argued this is a form of censorship and infringing on one’s right to free speech. On the other end, the argument is most likely going to distill to “No one is saying you can’t have free speech. Say whatever you want to say. J

I’ve only had both in burgers, but I agree. Impossible is a superior product. But that said, I still haven’t seen them in grocery stores.

I’m bummed about broken promises and absolutely hate the seasonal format, but Overwatch is still a top tier PvP shooter. Game play is tight, controls feel good and also unique, character to character, and servers are mostly good. And what makes it even more compelling is that all of this happens amidst a 36 character

With Blizzard gutting Overwatch 2’s story mode, we find ourselves asking ‘why did we need a sequel again?’

I recall being in some beach town arcade in the late 80's and seeing someone playing Dragon’s Lair. I was just a little kid at the time, but even then I knew what I was seeing wasn’t normal. Someone was literally playing a live action Disney cartoon with a joystick and buttons. It was really freaking me out, but my

I get that being just on one platform, and really, one segment of one platform (Switch exclusive) is limiting to sales potential, which makes this figure all the more impressive. However, there’s another way to look at this situation. One could also make the argument that whenever the Switch comes out with a banger

but that hasn’t stopped there being some degree of consternation from Zelda fans, who...I dunno, take a lone critic’s review as some personal affront?

Or a Carlsson CC63S as a Car.

I guess this could be seen a victim blaming to a degree, but I’d note that it isn’t the type where I’m saying, “Well, he did ‘x’ which is why she killed him”. It’s more of a Darwanistic approach to victim blaming.

I grew up on a cul de sac street that had 6 houses. We were an isolated neighborhood unit, where everyone knew each other and mostly got along. Neighborhood can be geographic, but also can just by familiarity with actual neighbors, where the “neighborhood” ends where people stop being neighborly.

True, but in this economic and housing market, free housing is still a win. It’s basically allowing one to turn their otherwise rent or mortgage payment into savings.
