Finished Danganronpa v3 so this weekend is cosplay time, not game time. Any guesses? The green lumos tape is a huge hunt...

That’s the us though. If the joke had been straight translated to Tigers and Giants most Americans would have been confused. They would have thought football (US Giants team) or baseball but there’s no Tigers in the same league here.

See, this is the difference between just translation and a localization. That joke would have gone over everyone’s heads. Even otaku, since most anime fans aren’t Japanese sports team fans. Anime jokes? Sure, keep ‘em in. But reaching out of ones demo? Find a local equivalent. The spirit of the joke is still 100%…

See I’d want someone to do their half the chores (but I loooove cooking so I don’t care if they can’t boil water) and someone I’d enjoy spending time with who wouldn’t get on my nerves (and I on theirs).

I will say this: as an actual cosplayer I remember last year (when it wasn’t open to the public) being invited by a videocasting group to go in costume with a group of others and report on the showfloor in costume. I didn’t go (it’s hard if you’re in New Zealand at the same time) but I know that team still went. So…
