I’m not sure if you can see it, but just like a real furred animal I start outwards from the nose. (I used my cat as reference for the fur grain). People just kept hugging me and mussing up the fur/ petting me (dear god why does everyone want to pet Ratchet?!) and the fur poofed out more than normal.

The official one is made from stretched felt, which is seamless. I made mine from fur because Ratchet is furred- but I picked a slightly longer fur because fur needs to be sewn so I need a long enough pile (fiber length) to hide any seams.
