I grew up with cell phones, my dad was an RF tech that got involved in setting up the towers back in the late 80s.

But they’ll only come in red.

I imagine there will be one “robo-taxi” there, that has been programmed to drive the specific course they have laid out in a parking lot. And that’s ALL it will be able to do. This is nothing but a scheme to pump up the stock. The SEC should investigate and, if that is indeed the case, fine Musk about a billion

I’d bet that since they’ve had to deal with university administrators that they know what a fax machine is

Objective and fair, contrary to most political reporting, doesn’t mean that you have to somehow balance every negative with a positive. CR generally does have a rating system that allows for telling people to stay away from specific products. What makes it fair and objective is just the fact that the rating is based

Absolutely. Some of the lobotomies weren’t recent.

The point about people who need a truck to do truck things not buying Tesla’s is spot on.

If it were a CT the baby could tear it’s own way out.

Every car: electric, hybrid, or ICE, should be legally required to always have at least one 100% mechanical lock and door mechanism.

Now playing

In other (better) news, Polaris Dawn took off this morning, and the spacewalk, in the new suits, is scheduled for Friday.

The problem for NASA, as well as DoD, is what are their other domestic options? There really aren’t any.

Everybody else did.

“YES! We made the car invisible!”

This seems like it should be a good XKCD comic panel.

The phrase “move fast and break things” was originally ussed in engineering to describe processes to uncover flaws quickly so they can be fixed.

Unfortuntatly, somewhere along the line it was co-opted by tech entreprenuers (with zero engineering acumin) as a way to justify destroying humanity’s economy, environment,

I drove a 350Z from Texas to the Arctic Circle in AK back when I lived in Anchorage. Also around quite a bit of the Yukon without much difficulty. I agree, there is very little that these guys will be proving of their “rigs” aside from being able to charge the stupid things. I’m sure they’ll pull off onto some fire

Finally! Someone proved that the Cybertruck really CAN do truck stuff!

It’s inevitable, so let’s just get it over with.....dumpster fire.

The sad look is so much better

Also, why are you left foot braking on the street? There is no reason to be driving so hard/fast on the street that you need to introduce your left foot. I’m all for spirted driving, I do it plenty myself. However, there is a threshold and if you are pushing your car that hard? Just stop and take it to the track.
