Not really. Japan is pretty bad about how it handles characters that are not Japanese, far worse than in America. When they do cast a white, black or what ever actor in some sort of role it is super stereotypical. Like a black guy with coolaid and chicken stereotypical.

The negative reaction this and really any proposed anime adaptation makes no sense to me. The standard of zero changes from the source or riot is insane. That is before even touching the race of the actors, which must be Japanese even if the character is a blond haired, blue eyed German.

There is no reason for old fans of Marvel to support them at this stage. The quality of their stories has continued to drops. All the while failing to cultivate that new audience.
