Sigh, Jezebel, this is one of those times where my love for you disappears.

@pantaloons: False. Zoe Tay is Singaporean. This product is being marketed to SINGAPOREANS. Hence the Asian model.

What about women who seek sex work by women?

This is new? I was propositioned on MySpace to be an escort a few years ago.

According to The Pirate's Dilemma, disco was invented by a young nun in an orphanage who wanted to cheer up the kids. She bought some records, decorated the room with balloons and fun stuff, and let the kids dance around. She made sure to get all the latest music, and allowed the kids to make requests.

Oooh, naked clothes models. This is any different from other high-fashion labels...how, exactly?

@divabat: (or what looks like a dick anyway. but still fail. And fail to CK-tribute-person. bah.)

Why the hell is there a MUSLIM PRAYER MAT in one of those pictures - the one that has the guy's dick showing!?

Ha! I had been wearing 36D for ages, which fit fine - someone sold me a 34F or something random and it HURT LIKE NOTHING ELSE. owie. Recently I got sized and was told I'm really a 34FF - I'm not sure it *felt* any different but my clothes suddenly became a lot looser. Possibly a perk considering it's so hard to find

You lot may enjoy this:

@whatsergem: oh dear! I'n Bangladeshi and I'm usually the raving loon of the family (OMGS YOU WANT TO DEFER UNI WHAAAAAAT) but now that I think of it...

Oh wow. I wish I cold sue my ex-primary school for systemic racism and discrimination, including bullying instigated by teachers. But there's no point, really. sigh.

ARGH. Bangladesh doesn't need any more of a bad rap than it already has (and no help to a lot of the commentators here).

@SunburnedCounsel: Whoa whoa hold on there you two. I'm a Bangladeshi woman. We have rights, and indeed women in Bangladesh are a very strong force. Doesn't excuse this insanity, but don't go blaming the whole country for it.

@Kivrin: As a Bangladeshi I can tell you that KIDNAPPING is totally NOT in our culture AT ALL.

@clevernamehere: Prostitution is legal in Australia (mainly state-by-state), and from what I gather there are pretty strong standards. Those in the sex industry have protection and control over what they do, and there are a lot of orgs fighting for their rights and respect. There's also far less of a stigma about sex

I don't know whether to laugh or gawk, really. My first reaction was to giggle because this was so silly. And also because I had wondered why there weren't any "porn/sex for a good cause" type things and then saw that someone's already done it.

@derridalia: They're tons more homogenous than we realise though - all those groups you mention are a minority upon minorities. I was in Japan for 6 weeks and many times we were told, from our Japanese hosts themselves, that they look at foreigners in awe mainly because there's so few of them. We were celebrities in

To all the people decrying their privilege: how many teens would actually take notice of what they're blessed to have - and take advantage of it? It's one thing to have access to a scientist dad; another to come up with a clever project.
