Oh man.

@haguenite: THANK YOU. I'm Bangladeshi and my parents are first cousins. So far my sister and I haven't shown any sort of deformity and we're doing pretty good for ourselves.

OMG A DARK SKINNED INDIAN. This gives me hope.

I weep for my country.

My friends and I organized a clothes swap as a fundraiser a few months ago. Less people than expected, but it still went well. We had a burlesque theme, and while our dancer fell ill, we played a lot of burlesque videos. It was fun!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwww

KittenFluff: Replace "men/women" with "bisexuals" and you have your answer.

Oh for goodness sake. I'm a Bangladeshi girl dating a white Australian guy, and I'm dating him because he is awesomesauce. Not because he is white (though for some reason my mum insists he is part Aboriginal. er.).

asexuality mean anything to you people?

They don't look real! That's terrible Photoshopping! Never mind the idea of turning children into some perfect ideal person...these aren't even PEOPLE!

Yeah, the part about not sending them to college just because they're female isn't cool. Surely you can afford it if you can afford 18 kids (not to mention that the US is generally far easier to get funding than most other places). Let them contribute to society! Let them learn!

ha! I'm a third-world (Malaysia/Bangladesh) spoiled brat. Well, kind of. My dad wanted to spoil me by getting me stuff I was only *considering* (for instance, one time I was mulling over whether learning how to play the guitar would be a good idea; next thing I know, he's buying me one); however, I tend to ask for

My dad was one of 12. Granted, not all 12 came from the same mum - his dad remarried twice (I believe he had married Dad's mum's sister before she died and asked him to marry her sis, or something similar). But that didn't matter - they were all siblings no matter who gave birth to them.

As a product of Islamic education (though very much a heathen in that regard) I can say he's doing it wrong.

I had my first pap smear about a month ago. I actually received some bad news the night before so I wasn't feeling so great.

@♥ dosido ☮: For all the faults of Bangladeshi society, "women being inferior to men" is definitely NOT one of them. Women hold the upper hand in Bangladeshi society - they are strong, make executive decisions, rule the family and whatever else they touch. Bangladesh has had 2 women Presidents.

Ha! I'm Bangladeshi (born and raised in Malaysia, now in Australia, general nomad), and traditional wear for young Bangladeshi girls is a salwhar khameez - a tunic top with long pants, a top, and a scarf.

@HeatherNumber1 and @Jeremy : Sweden (and much of Europe) may be a better choice if you're American, but it's still pricey (living costs are a pain) and there are next to no scholarships for international students. I'm a Malaysian planning to study in Denmark (in the KaosPilots) and I'm finding it crazy difficult to
