And imagine that the Engineer could have been a worker like us. Imagine a conversation back to his home... "I wake up after they put me in sleep by a mistake, lost like a thousand years, and this synthetic form comes and asks me if I can extend life. I am not getting paid enough for this."

I was amazed by the end of "Fall of the Hyperion", even though I am not a native english speaker and the shrike story baffled me a little in understanding it. The endymion saga is different because of the religion stuff it incorporates.

Another one, I just remembered (probably because of the Computer Game): Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, a weird collection of stories full of time travellers and talking dogs.

Two thumbs up!

Stig Larson's millenium trilogy (If you haven't ridden the trend with Fincher's movie). As for Millenium above, probably any between-fiction-between-reality conspiracy theory book that is based on theology (rather than ufos).

Neuromancer by William Gibson. Also the short story of Johnny Mnemonic. Although they are more of sci-fi and not urban fiction with spies.

It's one of my favorite stories (at least the Hyperion book part). I like how there are different genres (something that I guess corresponds to the GoT books, which I haven't read) connected through a common story/cypher.

Classic Ian Flemming James Bond novels maybe?

Also, read the Hyperion / Endymion saga. It's got firefly, stargate universe and probably a hell lot more of sci-fi in ages (concepts like ai, mystical beings and universal wars). I was amazed by the story.

Yup I agree to the above!

Yup. I think it's the post comments of Riddley Scott (?) that fired this post. So the Engineers sent one emissary one last time, we crucified him and they decided to send Xenomorphs.

I am keeping a grain of salt when it comes to Hugh Laurie and big movies. I am one of the greatest Blackadder/House fans, but seeing Street Kings... I don't know if it was the script or the misuse of a great actor like Laurie. Anyway it's on my list to see it when it comes so I'll know then.

I agree. The visuals were excellent, but Prometheus wanted to be 50% 2001: A space Odyssey and 50% Alien:Origins. The result is Alien Larvae VS Space Jockeys with the humans caught in between and Charlize Theron. You have pinpointed what was bugging me all along.

So, Holly is now on a hard disk eh? I bet Echo would have a field day with her.

There are cad softwares that help you design. Leocad and the lego designer itself.

So for the world, it's just a transition going unnoticed (except for "special" people who are attuned to timelines and realize the world changed). For the time traveller, he becomes an irregularity once the time jump happens and once interaction begins he changes his material status from an external observer (knowing

Draco had it coming. "Draconian Law" derives from him and he was one of the tyrants of Ancient Greece.

Does this makes me want to see a Barbie queen of blades/Starcraft? YES IT DOES.

Also I have to mention it — I had a huge crush with janeane garofalo in this movie.

I enjoyed the Freedom Force vs the Third Reich (I think I also finished it). Too bad they didn't make the full toolset for the customization kit. I would have made the incredible amazing window-washer-man.
