I’m sure there were a lot of non canonical rules in the All-Valley Tournament of 1984. But what about the newer tournament? If the Crane Kick was “Illegal” then the guy who did that to mock on the beginning of the new All-Valley Tournament in the first season was illegal too. I did not see a referee there.

I did

Interestingly enough, Della Duck’s adventure is a reminiscent of the 80's cartoon plots. Indeed, instead of doing the pre-adventure and the post-adventure scenes this time we had a fully fledged adventure with plot.

Good find.

Could be her crow? :P

Something fishy is with Owlson. I don’t know, but could she be Magica in disguise?

Three more findings as I rewatched this yesterday from my local subscription channel:

Callback/Allusion to Ducktales: quest for gold much?

And then with Hero Quest to create the dungeons themselves. Hmm this looks like more of Dungeon Keeper as it goes....

I’m pretty sure that apart from the action scenes this is the new Buffy series. Family coming together, fighting evil and having fun and feels in the way.
Magica is an endgame opponent (at least the green version of her, nonetheless thanks to the sumerian necklace/staff head) and as this iteration goes, she is

Here is another theory -- Della is Webby!

Yes recognized it myself once he sat on the armchair. The only thing that was missing was the original clothing (with the McDuck tartan? which seems to be different in this Ducktales iteration).

Also Della’s disappearance coincides with the short comic written for the Dutch comics.

Now I am more eager for next week’s

Exactly! And the redheaded pirate is none other than the original scrooge mc duck voice himself, Alan Young!

Was I the only one who thinks Don Karnage was almost reaching Le Chuck the pirate levels? Probably. To be honest the musical act was the only thing that I liked and Louie’s story, but was all a mcguffin.

It’s ducktales dude, physics don’t apply some times.

Other references: Webby can now address Scrooge as “Uncle Scrooge”. In the old series, this was never addressed and she was always calling him even though she is a Vanderquack.

Well Gizmoduck appeared.... check. Darkwing Duck appeared... check (as a tv show nonetheless), but there is something that bugs me. What was the secret mission our “comic relief” Launchpad had in the Summit of Mt. Neverrest? And how about a shoutout that darkwing duck is a show but is a cover for a real hero...?

Not only Black Swan. Requiem for a dream has the bathtub sequence for Jennifer Connelly.

20$ is too much for a game which will be replayable roughly 2-3 times. I hope it’s going to be replayable like maniac mansion or DOTT, so that I would buy it.

Also did anyone notice a Caponian (the one in Zak McKraken, phone company) in the circus scene?

Please keep in mind, that by that time, there were two genres of Adventure games. The ones that were only full text (like Zork) and the ones which had partial text with static images (like Magnetic Scrolls’s collection: “The Fish”). C64 had a good adventure in 1987 (Maniac Mansion!) but 1983 had king’s quest etc. In a
