It puzzles me too. Perhaps we are watching a different dimension Torchwood adventures. In DW they have disbanded another way but in TW they followed the events of CoE and now MD.

Smallville was beginnings. CGI is already getting cheaper, see Berlanti's former series No Ordinary Family that had such effects. I am talking about continuing the Green Lantern somehow from the movie. Or put one of the other Green Lanterns of earth as a central hero.

I'm thinking that green lantern could do the trick in TV more than Cinemas. The story was written by a tv writer afterall.
