It isn’t rape. Or at least it probably isn’t rape. But there are better ways to address coercion than calling it rape, right?

That’s what we need to change. But if you read Andrew Sullivan today, apparently we cannot because, you know, testosterone.

And I don’t understand why anyone would want to watch such a long (irrelvant) video. Seriously? Don’t you people have jobs? (And by “you people” I don’t mean Aimee or Jezzies or anyone watching this here; I mean people who might actually watch this video on a normal day.

Oh no! The horrible Old People are pushing back against sweet, innocent, “social influencers.”

No, we should eat goose. Or duck.

All these men ask, “Why didn’t you report it then?” “Why do you stand down when threatened with a defamation suit?”

Anthony Bourdain is coming down on Hillary for not condemning Weinstein’s abuse more strongly. Are you not appalled that yet another man is blaming yet another woman for something one man did?

Nor was it intended to be “treated as fact.” But, clearly, some would prefer that this list—or similar lists—would never exist.

The CEO of my “Major Media Company” was a harasser who cheated on his wife with underage interns.

Me too. And I remember some of her more egregious comments and posts. But, yanno, she’s on the ladder now, and I guess she thinks sucking up to men is her fastest path to success.

I’m not surprised. Back in the day, she wrote a post about her high school bully in which she provided multiple (past and current) identifying details about said bully. And talked at length about how said bully was a big ole loser.

What, precisely, in his paper makes you think that? While he makes some handwaving in favor of diverse workplaces, the majority of his screed indicates he’s against diversity initiatives in general, and those favoring women in particular.

I’m almost convinced I could give you this guy’s Reddit handle because everything he said was so very familiar. Then again, I must be kidding myself to think that only one guy with a similar set of circumstances espouses the same absurd set of beliefs.

Can’t cite the source but there was a study years ago that showed that men had as many and as varied mood swings as women though those of women did tend to be a bit more cyclical. Hence, UMMS (Unpredictable Male Mood Swings) as a counter to PMS.

Agreed. Probably ‘I don’t recall doing it’ is an attempt at plausible deniability. To me, it doesn’t really matter whether or not he ‘recalls.’ Just trying to figure out why he’d use such strange phraseology. And my conclusion was that it was a possible bluff, i.e., an attempt to see how far the recipients of his dick

I’m wondering if the non-denial denial of “I do not recall” is a set-up for a claim of substance abuse issues, to be remedied by a stay in rehab, followed by “redemption.” It would be bullshit in any event, but I am wondering.

As someone who had to make the decision to let someone go, I don’t understand how—under these circumstances—you wouldn’t let the baby go. Do you want them to suffer forever? Some right-wingers/religious fundamentalists apparently believe that that’s the way to go.

You’re a teenager and you’re pregnant (and, let’s assume, unmarried). Wouldn’t you be depressed? I certainly would, though it shouldn’t result in a clinical diagnosis.

Regardless of the outcome (and I certainly hope Cosby will be convicted), the prosecution’s argument is a step in the right direction. Constand and Cosby’s other 50 or so victims deserve whatever slivers of justice they can get.

I guess she’s even more stupid than she appears to be.
